The iD44 does not use the Burr-Brown, but Audient's claim is that they have been improved to the point of being their best converters with the best specs to date. I own the iD22 and decided to order the iD44. I have subsequently sold the iD44. Here's why: To me, the sound coming from my computer to the headphone jack was not as good as the iD22.
